Geocache Description:

This is the first cache in a series for those dark and stormy Northwest nights (or days) when you really want to go caching but the weather is anything but pleasant. This cache is in a well lit, dry shopping area by Safeway in Gig Harbor. Other than possibly looking in a flower planter you should be able to stay dry and warm. Now on to the cache details.

IMPORTANT: In order to count this cache as "found" you need to find all five caches, including the yellow log sheet. Everything you need to know to find the "real" cache log is on this page. Closely read this page.

Have you ever been looking for a cache and you looked here, there and everywhere, and asked yourself, "I wonder if any other cachers have looked in this place too?" Well, now you will be able to find out. "GEOrge was here" was inspired by the World War II "Killroy was here". His "Killroy was here" signature showed up in the strangest places during the war.

As you look for the yellow log sheet you will come across caches which have a "GEOrge was here" sticker in them. When you find one, place your sticker, stamp, signature, etc. with GEOrge so other cachers will know they aren't the only ones who have looked there. It's all part of the fun.

There are 5 total caches. In order to count this as a "find" you have to sign the actual log at the cache location and then log your find(s) online.

You will know if you found the real cache log because the log sheet is yellow.

I imagine after a while there will be so many other stickers that you may not be able to see GEOrge. I hope you have as much fun finding GEOrge as I had hiding him. By the way, I heard that GEOrge has been busy looking for other caches too. Who knows, you might turn over a rock at a different cache and find that "GOErge was here" already.

Bring your stickers, stamps and writing utensil to log your find. There isn't enough room for a pencil or stickers in the "real" log.

If you would like to put your own "GEOrge was here" sticker in places where you have looked for caches click on the "Print Your Own GEOrge Sticker" picture below. It is sized to work great on a standard address label. Have Fun :)
