What a cool place! I have been out here a few times, waiting for
a cache to show up. On my visits out here I have seen blue birds,
crows, a very vocal young red-tail hawk that will fly a greeting
right over you when you approach his tree, cat birds, swallows,
finches, orioles, bunnies, snakes, a GIANT Great Blue Heron, ducks,
egrets, frogs, turtles - you get the idea.
The cache is pretty much right on the trail in an obvious spot -
but pretty well out-of-sight.
On the map it looks like there is plenty of close places to park
- there aren't! The area is surrounded by private
property, and trying to cut down your walk will mean parking
illegally or crossing private property. Parking is on Bank St at
the Harbormaster's Workshop lot ONLY. I have listed the parking
coords.
