Dansk:

English:
The heights upon which Vorbjerg Høje lies, has been used as burial grounds from the end of early stone age to the end of older iron age. The majority of the burial mounds in the area probably arise from the older bronze age (approx. 1800-1000 before christ). Of the mounds Møgelbjerg is the highest and reaches 109 meters above sea level.

Large burial mounds were common in the older bronze age where the deceased was laid unburned in a coffin richly supplied with personal belongings. Both bronze weapons and wonderful jewelry in bronze and gold has been found in Danish burial mounds and are considered among the best in Europe from this age.

Galloway cattle grazes the mounds making sure that the magnificent view is maintained.

The area is open to the public, but it is suggested that you limit your travels to the marked path and the area immediately around the mounds.
