There's a bear in
Roche-A-Cri State Park!
And he's been spotted in the campground!
Do you dare go look for the bear?
First you will need to go to the campground in the park. Then
you will need to find the bear. He can be found in the woods to the
right of the campground road near the given coordinates. Can you
see the bear? The bear isn't bothering any of the campers, so make
sure that you don't either.
Now, take a good look at the bear. A really good look. Can you
read his mind? Is he thinking of where he has hidden his stash of
goodies? Do you know where to look for it? Since most of you
probably can't think like a bear, we'll give you a hint right
now.
Be very observant and look for the number of the campsite that
the bear is closest to. Then look at the choices of hiding spot
coordinates that we have listed below. Based on the number of the
campsite next to the bear, you will know where to go to find the
bear's hiding spot.
If the
campsite number is 5, go to N 44* 00.068 W 089* 48.829
If the campsite number is 6, go to N 44* 00.031 W 089* 48.924
If the campsite number is 7, go to N 44* 00.076 W 089*
49.014
You should be able to stay on the pavement till you are very
close to the cache location, depending on how you get there. Don't
forget to stay out of the individual camp sites, and do not disturb
any campers (or bears!) who may be present.
This cache is in Roche-A-Cri State Park. A
current Wisconsin State Parks sticker (hourly, daily, or yearly) is
required for all parked vehicles. The park is closed to non-campers
from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Do not hunt for this cache during
those hours.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Park Manager
