Kätkön lähtöpiste sijaitsee Kalajoen Hiekkasärkkäin alueella keskuskari nimisessä saaressa (tietä pitkin pääsee perille). The starting point of the route which leads to cache is located on an island called Keskuskari in the area of Hiekkasärkät in Kalajoki (there is a road which leads to the island).

Koordinaattien osoittamasta paikasta löytyy kalajokisille miinanraivaajille pystytetty
muistomerkki.Katso muistomerkistä montako (=A) kalajokista oli mukana raivaamassa
miinoja vuosina 1944 - 1950. Sijoittamalla luku kaavaan A:n tilalle saadaan kätkön koordinaatit.

Coordinates points a place where there is a monument erected to the local mineclearers
of the postwar period. The monument tells how many mineclearers from Kalajoki there
were between 1944 - 1950. The amount of the mineclearers is a key (= A in the formula)
to solve the coordinates of the cache. Place the amount of the minecleares to the following
formula and you will find out the coordinates of the cache.

Lähtiessä varsinaiselle kätkölle, auton voi jättää pysäköintialueelle joka löytyy
koordinaateista N 64 14.440, E 023 50.597.
Kätkön koko on 17x10x7 cm. Sitä ei voi nähdä mistään suunnasta.
Maasto on helppokulkuista. Kulkemalla merkittyä reittiä, perille pääsee kuivin jaloin.
Kätkön lähettyvillä on laavu jossa nuotiopaikka.
Talvella kätköä on erittäin vaikea löytää.

When heading to the cache you can leave your car in a parking place located in
N 64 14.440, E 023 50.597.
The size of the cache is 17 x 10 x 7 cm. You cannot
see it from any direction. The terrain around the cache is easy to pass through.
If you take a marked route, you will reach the destination without wetting your
feet. There is a lean-to with a place for a fire near the cache. In winter the
cache is very hard to find.

Cache Logs

October 12 by kemamake (60 found) Olipa työläs etsintä. Ensiksi etsittiin parkkipaikalta muistomerkkiä ja eihän lähikioskissa oltu kuultukaan sellaisesta. Hotellilla piti käydä lukemassa netistä uudestaan ohjeet ja sitten löytyi uudet naatit. Kesken etsimistä loppui gepsistä akut ja uudelleen kioskille patterien ostoon. Sen jälkeen vaellus ja sieltähän se löytyi. [view this log]

September 5 by katinka3 (648 found) Kätköilykierroksella Kalajoella annlinnin kanssa. Suoritimme tehokkaasti kolmea multia yhtä aikaa ja kaikissa päästiin maaliin asti eli löydettiin purkit. September 5 by annlinn (139 found) Olimme kätköilemässä Kalajoen suunnalla katinka3:n kanssa. Tämä Valkeatvedet -kätkön loppupiste käytiin loggaamassa Särkijärven multin välissä. Kätkö löytyi pienen pyöriskelyn jälkeen. Päivän 3/8. Kiitos kätköstä! [view this log]
