As you can guess from the name this is close to a golf course, Chilwell Manor golf course to be precise. Chilwell Manor has been open since 1906 and is well established.
The original cache was a specimen bottle (unused!), which was wrapped with black masking tape to stop the shine giving its position away. This has now been replaced by a PET preform (aka Freidel). Please ensure that the container is well hidden when you put it back!
There is free parking nearby at Chilwell Olympia. Please don‘t park on the golf course car park.
The cache location can be seen from the 3rd Tee box, so be careful you are not observed. The entrance to the public footpath (which runs through the golf course) is from a very busy main road so be very careful of it.
School starting and finishing times are best avoided.
