This is a multicache (part virtual, part physical) that takes you over / along part of the Itchen's meanderings. Wellies or similar are suggested in wet periods, although much of the path is fairly ok. The total walk (there & back) is a little over 1km, and should take you about 45 minutes to an hour.
This cache not really suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs, as many bits of the paths are quite narrow or uneven. The coordinates given for the cache are for the first clue: there is a small layby about 50 yards towards the junction, with space for a couple of cars. You'll also spot a pub just over the road! After the first location, you need to cross the A33: whilst this is often quite quiet, cars travel very fast, so please take care when crossing the dual carriageway, especially if you have children. A signpost clearly shows where the footpath continues.
