MORNING MEET AND GREET EVENT - 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

This year’s MORNING Meet and Greet opportunity will take place during the JANBOREE PANCAKE BREAKFAST. The coordinates given above are for the Waukesha Schuetze Recreation Center located along the Fox River. This is the hub of the JanBoree events this morning. There is a parking lot although it will see a lot of traffic this morning.

As you enter the building, turn to the right, we will be in the room at the end of the hallway. We will not be set up in the main room with the Pancake breakfast but you are welcome to purchase your meal and bring in to our room. (Meal purchases are not required.)

Come meet other Geocachers, share your geocaching stories, trade travel bugs and share your special geocoins here! Geocoin trades are also welcome. If you do not like winter geocaching, you are most welcome to come and say hello! The Schuetze Recreation Center is wheelchair accessible, weather permitting.

The Pancake Breakfast includes all the pancakes you can eat. Seconds available for other amenities at a nominal price. GEOCACHING INTRO PRESENTATION

9:00 AM At the request of our event sponsors, AuntieNae will be doing a short Introduction to Geocaching presentation to peak your interest. If you would like to join in the days activities, there will be a few geocaches you can find on your own even without a GPSr (letterbox style using hints), or team up with other geocachers to go out to find some .. not included in the presentation. Please plan to join us in April for our full class!
GEOCACHES HIDDEN FOR THIS EVENT
We recognize there are folks that do not search for temporary caches. We recognize there are those that do. However, due to the efforts we put into hiding the temporary caches for this event, we do allow you to log them here on the event page if you would like.

TRACK ONE: DOWNTOWN Our event sponsors have hidden 9 (NINE) temporary caches that will only be available on Saturday during the day. The hours will vary but are between 9 AM - 3 PM. Snow or cold, you and your family will enjoy these kid friendly hides. Park your car at any of the downtown streets or parking lots and walk to this series of caches. Find them, log them, find them, do not log them .. whatever, just have fun!

TRACK TWO: AROUND TOWN ANNOUNCING .. a new permanent cache series called, "The States of the Union" by Doctor Dolittle. They will be winter friendly traditional geocaches on The Glacial Drumlin Trail which is paved and plowed. It's a relaxing and beautiful countryside walk. The cache hides are a fun mix. Event participants will have first crack at 23 FTF’s as they will not be published on Geocaching.com until after our event! They are on a 3 mile stretch of the trail. You may want to work with another team so you can park a car at each end of the cache string. Coordinates and cache details will be available for download or pickup at the check in table. As a side note, the other caches of this series have been previously published and located on the Bugline Recreation Trail. See the book mark list.

REGULAR CACHES Around Waukesha, there are plenty of geocaches - be sure to download files prior to coming! We will NOT have this data available for download.

BRING YOUR CAMERA Our event sponsors love to see photos of you and your family participating in this event. We have a new SPECIAL BONUS cache that will require a camera!
