Within a step or two of the trail.
Ellen, a toad is she
That guards this trail that you see
She sits on guard through dead of night
She sits on guard through scorching light
She sees all who pass and watches close
For this trail, a guardian, he’s been reposed
She lies in hiding so as not to be found
One never knows what creatures are around
When danger appears, a warning she does sound
To alert the masses and the enemy confound
To find her a smart one you must be
She may be in a bush, under a rock, or in a tree
She does not show herself unless the seeker is true
To sign her log and put her back out of view
So search and search if you must
But in your hands, her life, I trust.

Having read geoteering's log, I came prepared to CITO, and there was certainly no shortage of T to O. No find for me here, but the plant- and wildlife made the walk more than pleasant. :D

Looked and looked around the base of a small sole bush...
All I found: many disgusting stuff and trash that I wouldn't pick-up unless I had gloves and a pole, including used needles, condoms, dirty clothes, sleeping bag and underware. YUK. Do better next time...GCing or trash removal?

My wife and I are logging a DNF for this one which was disappointing after our successful Pachinko - GC1ZC2H - find earlier. Trying to respect the fragile environment, and avoiding the amount of transient trash in the area, an exhaustive search was hampered.

Typically we carry our CITO gear, Cache-In and Trash–Out, ( gloves-trash bags etc. ) but forgot this time. However this site really needs the clean up help!

We noted a lot of opportunities to hide a container in some natural elements found around site, but CO must have used another method.

We’ll come back w/ CITO gear after another cacher logs a “Found it”.

I cast my eyes downward and lo, there was the Guardian Toad - Ellen, smiling up at me. "Ribbit," she said.
Thanks John. Happy caching!
