Atashgah - Zoroastrian fire temple
English : Temple of eternal fire Atashgah is located in Surakhani, in the outskirts of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The temple was built at the turn of the 17th century by Fire worshipers, who believed that this place is sacred and that the local fire is miraculous. However, the place had served to various prayers, rites and rituals much earlier and the first buildings on this place date back to the time of Zoroastrians. Inside Atashgah, we can find a place, where inflammable gas is leaking from earth. This gas was set fire and created an eternal flame. Nowadays, the place serves as a museum. However, if you want to see the eternal flame in its natural form, you can visit the nearby Fire Mountain, where the same phenomen occurs, but the place is outside the urban areas and is freely available (for its location see the additional waypoint).
To claim this cache you must answer the following questions (send the answers via my profile) :
1. What kind of gas is leaking from the earth here?
2. Gas deposits are related to another, nowadays fairly strategic raw material, which one?
3. Explore the place and count how many fires are burning here.
4. The place holds a model of the temple in its original form, count how many fires were burning here originally.
5. Attach a photo of you by Atashgah to your log.
Cesky : Chram vecneho ohne Atesgah se nachazi v Suraxanu, na samem okraji Baku, hlavniho mesta Azerbajdzanu. Chram byl postaven na prelomu 17. a 18. stoleti Uctivaci ohne, kteri verili, ze toto misto je svate a ze tento ohen ma zazracne schopnosti. Misto ale slouzilo k ruznym modlitbam, obradum a ritualum uz mnohem drive a prvni stavby na tomto miste pochazely uz z dob Zoroastrizmu. Atesgah patri k celosvetove znamym pamatkam a podstatou tohoto mista je horlavy plyn, unikajici volne ze zeme a jehoz zapalenim vznikl vecny ohen. Misto dnes slouzi jako muzeum. Pokud si ale chcete vecny ohen uzit v jeho prirodni podobe, muzete navstivit nedalekou Ohnivou horu, kde dochazi ke stejnemu jevu ale misto je mimo mestskou zastavbu a je volne pristupne, poloha viz doplnkovy waypoint.

1. Jaky plyn tu unika ze zeme?
2. Loziska plynu souvisi s jinou, dnes primo strategickou surovinou, jakou?
3. Prozkoumejte areal a spocitejte, kolik ohnu tu dnes hori.
4. Na miste je model puvodniho stavu chramu, spocitejte na nem, kolik ohnu tu horelo puvodne.
5. K logu pripojte svoji fotografii u Atesgahu.
