This cache is placed along the La Jolla Valley trail.
Accessed from either the La Jolla campground along PCH ($5.00 fee required), or from the Chumash trailhead (free).

We placed this cache between two other caches:
La Jolla Valley Rock Cache (GC93AA) and TroopMugu2 (GCXWT5).

There are many other caches in the area, so you can plan a fun filled day from almost any direction.

When the cache was placed, the trail from the La Jolla Valley fire road was overgrown with tall grass, about chest high, and the trail is hard to follow, but soon you will be rewarded with a fine dirt trail.

Cache container is a large camoed mixed nut jar with lots of goodies for trading.

Mosquitoes and ticks are abundant, so bring the OFF!

Please be careful when reaching into bushes

Didn't hear a beep and checked and found I was moving away from it, so turned back toward Because... where I'd just come from and slanted away from the trail. GPSr didn't quite want to settle down, but after 2 or 3 minutes I spotted it. This is a pretty trail, not like the open part of LJV and also not like the canyon, just a quiet little bowl.

Now I can finally turn toward the walk-in camp ... but wait, I have to rectify a long-ago Did Not Attempt on
The Serengeti.

My hiking partners today, SoCalifSue and Big Foot Moose, waited while I grabbed this one since they already had it. Spotted quickly. Thanks

As I approached this area, I could hear a large group of hikers coming up the trail behind me. I wasn't sure if I would get caught hunting for this cache. Fortunately, it was a quick find, and I was back on the trail before they caught up to me. Thanks for putting it here.

Seemed to be within 50ft. for us. Could spot it easily as we approached. Thanks.

A bit more than 50 ft. off of the trail, I think. TNLN TFTC
