Union Pacific Caboose #25434. Built in February 1959 and retired in May of 1989. Donated to the city of Fruitvale in September of 1989. The caboose was repainted in the Texas and Pacific scheme similar to the caboose on display in Wills Point. It is now on private property so observe and honor all posted and no trespassing signs. The caboose is only about 20 feet off the roadway so it can be viewed from the roadway.
In order to have a more secure geocache location I placed the geocache a short distance (about 100 yards) away in order to keep geocachers away from the owners property. To get to the geocache you must pass the caboose. Again, do not trespass onto the property or the caboose. The cache is near the county road and quite visible so some stealth my be required. Enjoy.
