De Korhoenders Dit beeld is in de nacht van 1997 op1980 aangeboden door de toen nog bestaande oudejaarsploeg. In de omliggende dorpen zei men over dit beeld: Fochteloo heeft het mooiste kunstwerk van alle dorpen uit de gemeente, en ook nog het goedkoopst.
