Geocache Description:

How Hard Can Counting Be ?!!

This is one of those outlook points I've zipped by day after day, but never took the time to enjoy. So if the view isn't enough to make you stop, maybe a cache will be.

To find this cache, you'll have to count a few things.

Start by finding the pillar with the plaque on it. Say the first word on the plaque three times for good luck.

Ready?! 1...2...3...let's get to counting!

A. Count the number of CURVY vertical rails in the fence that is in front of the pillar. A = The number of curvy vertical rails.

B. Count the number of sections of sidewalk that make up the site. Do NOT count curb or cracked pieces as separate sections. Count the triangular handicap ramp as 1 section. B = The number of sidewalk sections that make up the site.

C. Count the number of boards that make up the TOP level of both "arches." All these boards look about the same and all face the same direction. If the number of boards is even then C=1. If the number of boards is odd then C=2.

D. Finally, count the number of stones that make up the pillar with the plaque. Now count the stones that make up the other pillar next to it. (The pillar that is attached to the pillar with a plaque by a bench). If the pillar with the plaque has more stones then D=1. If the pillar without the plaque has more stones then D=2.

Now for some quick math to find the magic set of coordinates from all the possible ones listed below:

Correct coordinates # = (B - A) + C + D

Possible cache coordinates:

#1. 37°37.923N, 122°28.660W
#2. 37°38.003N, 122°28.626W
#3. 37°37.965N, 122°28.648W
#4. 37°38.015N, 122°28.600W
#5. 37°37.939N, 122°28.655W
#6. 37°37.998N, 122°28.632W
#7. 37°37.938N, 122°28.647W
#8. 37°38.009N, 122°28.611W
#9. 37°37.921N, 122°28.652W

BE SAFE! This cache is located next to a busy street. There is no reason to cross the guard rail into the street. The actual coordinates and all the false ones are behind the guard rail. If your GPS is leading you over the guard rail, something is not correct!

Original cache treasure contents are a Country Bear, electrical car, large sea shell, CEC tokens, and a Jiminy Cricket bendy toy. There's also a disposable camera for you to take your picture with the great view behind you!

Good luck and have fun!
