Geocache Description:

A tour of one of Prince George's finest outdoor facilities.

Welcome to Icenrye’s “Tour De World!” You are about to embark upon a whirlwind tour of one of Prince George’s best outdoor facilities, Forest For the World. There are many kilometers of trails and you can hike for hours. Most of the trails are self guided with interpretive signs along the way. This cache is a quick tour of some of my favourite trails in the park. Along the way, you may also want to check out Firestone in the Woods, Cranbrook Hill Plateau and Hedwig's (Other) Home: The Aviary.

The above listed waypoints are for the first clue. There are eight stations along the way to visit and collect clues which will lead you to the final cache location. Most of the clues are distance markers with the remaining clues located on descriptive signs.

If you have any problems, please get in touch with me using my profile link.

Once you reach your rocky final destination, you will find the following in the cache:
Special “First To Find” lotto ticket.
Bird song CD.
“Patrolling” CD featuring an article on Geocaching.
Gold medals.
Mini playing cards.
Key chain carabineer.
Other small knick knacks.

You should be able to complete the tour in 3 to 4 hours. Have fun and cache on!

Here are the clues:

The final cache location is:
N53.AB.CDE
W122.FG.HIJ.
N53 And W122 is a given so I’m not going to make you work for them. As for the rest……….

Clue #1 N53.53.684 by W122.49.931
So much information! Read everything and learn what this facility is about. Check out the dog leash bylaw. It’s bylaw number: WXYZ. Add the four numbers then add the result until you get one digit. The final result is “E”.

Clue #2 N53.53.608 by W122.50.343
What a great place to put a cache! However today, your task is to read one of the three signs. Try the one with the most “pulpish” view. On the sign you will read about a vote. Prince George defeated Fort George by a margin of MNO to XY.
D=X+Y
I=N+O-M

Clue #3 N53.53.448 by W122.50.491
The first of the distance markers. The distance to the lookout is XYZ meters.
B = (X*Y)-Z

Clue #4 N53.53.530 by W122.50.263
So now you’re XYZ meters from the lookout.
A = X-Y+Z

Clue #5 N53.53.517 by W122.50.176
As you read about the wildlife of the area, notice the size of the moose’s hoof print. It’s X wide by Y long.
WZ = X*Y
F= (W+Z)/2

Clue #6 N53.53.258 by W122.50.376
A bench looking over a lovely lake. The bench contains a tribute plaque. Look for the years in ABCD - EFGH format.
J = H-(A+D).

Clue #7 N53.53.291 by W122.49.748
The distance to Otway is YZ.
C=Z-Y
The distance to the cobalt conifer = WX
G=1+W+X

Clue #8 N53.53.621 by W122.49.816
You have to look up the see the necessary 3 word sign. The first letter of the last word is also a Roman numeral.
H= Roman numeral + 2

So there you go! You’re all set to look for the final treat. I hope you enjoyed the tour.

Cache On!
