Are you ready?? Are you ready for the third annual campout?? It's almost here!!!!
OCT 29 & 30

This year we will be camping in the Truckhaven area off of S-22. We will be up on the flat mesa overlooking the Salton Sea in an area that is totally open to off roading. Of coarse, we will be having our 2nd. annual Chili cook off!! It was such a success last year, we're doin' it again. Get those special recipies ready and be sure to include beans so it can be judged. If you are chili challenged, bring some garlic bread, salad, desert, etc. to be shared Sat. night. Entries for the cook-off must be on the judging table by 6:00 p.m. Sat. Judging and dinner will follow. Paper products and utensils will be provided.

Our 'Blazing Saddles' campfire will follow. The Poker Run will also be held on Saturday. Hands will be $5.00 each, total pot will paid back. See Team Reid (Robyn & Kathy) for any questions. Hands will be sold Sat. morning before we go caching.

If we get enough prizes donated, we will also have a raffle, also to be done on Saturday. For those who have to leave early, winners need not be present to win. So, dust off the cobwebs on your RV, tent, or trailer and come on out. There are no facilities on the mesa, but there are some pit toilets about 4 miles away, you'll have to decide what you want to do about that!

You won't want to miss this!! Ask anyone who was here the last two years, just tooo much fun!

UPDATE: JB&LF have counted 9 chili entries so far, and one person bringing food to go along with the chili. Remember, if you plan to eat chili, etc. with us on Sat. night, you will need to contribute something realllly good to share! Otherwise, we may have some hungry cachers! LATEST UPDATE: If you have any firewood, please bring it. We can only fit so much in the Jeep and MH.
