Geocache Description:

Located off Route 13. There is a small paved road that leads to a red farm style gate where you can park safely. The cache is not far. This is an easy cache to grab and a great place to take a break from the long drive. The Maryland State Police frequently use this small road to shoot radar, so make sure your not driving too fast when you approach. The cache is located on publicly owned State land, so don't feel weird about it.

This cache is located on the Chesapeake State Forest (S27 Wells Complex) which is managed by the Maryland Forest Service. This land was apart of the largest public land purchase by the State of Maryland in 1999. The former owners of the land was the Chesapeke Corporation which intensively managed the land for wood production. The land is currently dual certified by the Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI) and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) as a sustainably managed forest. You can visit the forest web stie by simply doing a search for Chesapeake Forest. Please feel free to take a walk along the forest roads and enjoy nature here on the Delmarva Peninsula.
