Geocache Description:

You should find this to be a fairly quick and hopefully easy cache to locate in a Seattle-area pocket park. These less-traveled paths may be slippery when wet. Coordinates are an average of several passes by the hide. Reception is rather jumpy under the trees; it might take time for your GPSr settle down a little. I recommend bringing the clue along...

Here's the deal:
Everybody knows that aliens are real, and that they've been spying on us for ages. No one knows their true intentions (except for a few governments and secret societies) but it isn't hard to imagine that they'll arrive in force one day, not as friends, but as conquerors. They may even send evil robots! In this event armies will be defeated, governments will fall, and society will collapse. This will probably take about ten minutes, and soon after we’ll all be living “underground.” You ARE stockpiling your jerky and beans, aren't you?

Mankind’s last, best hope for survival will be a band of adventurers, experts in navigation and concealment. These hardy souls have experience in conducting secret operations in public places, and in traversing all kinds of terrain.

You guessed it; I'm talking about Geocachers. That's right folks, when the alien hoards show up with their ray guns a-blazin' it will be up to us to save the day! We will become the ARF -- the Alien Resistance Force!!

Of course, it never hurts to train a little and that's where this cache comes in. When you trade items in this cache please note in the log how the item you leave can be useful for living on the lam or resisting the extraterrestrial bad guys. For example, the original contents of this cache are:

  • A log book, of course, for our secret communications.
  • A bag of marbles for throwing under the feet of a marauding robot.
  • A little pen light for flashing secret signals.
  • A thermometer/compass key chain to aid your survival. (Hint: It gets warmer as you go South)
  • A whistle to warn others when the aliens are approaching.
  • A little magnifying glass to burn the aliens if they happen to be small and bug-like.
  • A purple bracelet used to positively identify someone as a human (aliens have no sense of fashion).

Finally, remember this: In the event of an attack the GPS satellites may be knocked out of the sky and there may be no power for your Internet connection. In this event, please return here for further instructions. The ARF, and all of humanity, is counting on you!!

You are looking for an ammo can. Congratulations to rockitbiker on the FTF. Happy hunting everyone!
