Rivers Trail One (MITH) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Skookum Bear: As the cache owner has not indicated that they have visited the cache location to replace it if it was missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there within a reasonable amount of time, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities. If the cache owner would like to replace a cache at this location, please submit a new geocache listing and it will be reviewed under the current Geocaching guidelines.

Please do not respond to this note by sending an email reply - your response will go to an unmonitored location and disappear into the ether instead of being sent to me. If you need to contact me regarding this cache, please do so using the link on my Profile Page

Geocache Description:

McArthur Island Treasure Hunt (MITH)

The McArthur Island
Treasure Hunt (MITH) series is a geo-training playground for new geocachers with a variety of cache types and difficulty levels. Caches are safe, family-friendly, and some are wheelchair accessible. All caches promote the highest standards of geocaching etiquette by encouraging cachers to practice low impact caching, respect other park users, and trade responsibly.

Most of all, they are meant to be fun!

An easy cache to get to. Perhaps a bit of difficulty getting a good fix due to tree cover. This is the first of a series of caches placed along the Kamloops Rivers Trail system by ve7eje original owner/placer. This cache should be an easy find. The only difficulty foreseen may be due to the tree cover preventing a good position fix. Triangulation may be the solution here.  The cache is in a small lock n lock camo'd container.

Note: This trail is possibly the most popular walking trail in town and is used by hundreds of geomuggles every day. Please take care when removing or rehiding the cache. Please rehide the container upright so as to reduce to possiblity of water incursion. Thanks. This project is proudly supported by the City of Kamloops.
