Geocache Description:

On John Kyrle's Walk, Ross-on-Wye

I grew up in Ross and often walked this route above the "Little Woods" as a boy. When I discovered that there were no geocaches near Ross, I decided that it was time to place one.
John Kyrle (1637-1724) was a local benefactor who became known as "The Man of Ross" He laid out the Prospect gardens, brought water, built the Market House etc. His town house still stands next to the Market House.
The John Kyrle geocache is a small plastic box on the walk named after him.
Note The cache is adjacent to the path above the woods. There is no need to enter the orchard.
Please rehide carefully.
