Grandpa Hansen's Fence Traditional Geocache

This is an easy-to-find geocache hidden near an old fence by an old farm in Taylor. The old farmer, Grandpa Hansen, passed away recently and this cache is in memory of him.
I have been meaning to place a cache in this location for a long time. I told grandpa about it several months ago, and he thought it was a great idea. After he passed on, I decided to dedicate the cache to him.
Grandpa loved working on the farm, and he was a “Taylor Farmer” in every sense of the word. At the ripe old age of 93 he was still working the farm nearly every day. He built fences, barns, ditches and sheds out of whatever scrap materials were lying around, and the “corner post” of the fence that hides this cache is no exception.
Grandpa especially loved his grandkids and great-grandkids, so I filled the cache with kid toys to start it off. There is a good spot to pull off and park your car just north of the cache. The cache does sit near a fairly busy road, so be careful if you bring small children.
AUGUST 2012 UPDATE: The fence has been taken out, but the cache is still there. Odds are good that a new fence will be going in soon. In the meantime, please keep the cache hidden as well as possible.
