This is the 4th of my RIP series. The town of Ludlow was named for William Ludlow in 1883 and was a water stop on the Central Pacific RR. As Route 66 followed the RR, Ludlow became a rest stop along the highway. Today Ludlow is family owned town which depends on the traffic on I40.
To get to the far side of the tracks, turn east, left, at the cafe and then right, south, to the tracks. Then go right, west, to the undercrossing at N34 43.078 W116 10.170 and follow your GPS East to the Cemetery which I have driven in a 2 wheel drive to within 0.15 mile of the cache but use your own best judgement. DO NOT CROSS OVER THE TRACKS
Caution!! As with any desert Cache, NEVER put your hands in or under any rocks or containers you can't see fully. Always turn over rocks with a stick before picking them up. Things that like to bit and sting love to hide and wait just for you!
