Geocache Description:

The Cache is Not at the listed Coordinates!

The listed coordinates are for the entrance to parking in the 158th Street Lot. The Cache is a short walk from there ( See "How To Get There" at the bottom of the Cache page). Either before or after you find the Cache, it is highly recommended that you take the walk to the Lighthouse to pay homage to this New York Landmark.

The "Little Red Lighthouse" acquired its affectionate nickname from Hildegarde H. Swift's 1942 children's classic, THE LITTLE RED LIGHTHOUSE AND THE GREAT GRAY BRIDGE. This delightful story of the friendship between the tiny beacon and the George Washington Bridge introduced children around the world to the only remaining Lighthouse in New York.

The Jeffrey's Hook lighthouse was erected in 1880 and moved to its current site in 1921. The site of this iconic landmark provides panoramic views of the Hudson, George Washington Bridge, Manhattan and the Palisades.

To get the coordinates for the Cache, Left click the Book Cover at the top of the cache page and solve the JIGSAW Puzzle!
