Castaway Cay Pad Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Marky: I really thought I had archived this one in February. Sorry for keeping this one around for so long with no final cache in place. It has gone missing too many times to replace it again. Archiving this one for good.

Geocache Description:

This is a puzzle cache. The posted coordinates are not the actual coordinates, but are within 4 miles.

I picked up the phone after two rings and a familiar voice on the other end said "Hey there dude, how are things?"

"You know how things are, you coward! Why did you just run off like that?" I responded.

"Things were getting a little out of control and I thought it best if I disappeared for a while." He replied.

I had so many questions, but one weighed heavily on my mind. "Where is it?"

"It's safe, don't worry. I hid it before I left town." He sounded pretty relaxed for someone who was supposedly on the run.

"Where are you?" was my next question.

"Castaway Cay, hanging out in a small beach hut." he blurted out, and then chuckled a bit.

"Castaway Cay? You mean, in the Bahamas? The Disney cruise private island?"

"Yup, you got it." he said.

"Must be nice having your own little cay pad on the beach." I was slightly annoyed at this point.

"It's good to get away from it all. You should join me."

I pondered this for a bit, and then had another question "What if we need to get to it?"

"I took coords, I can just give them to you." He seemed proud of himself.

"It needs to be in code, this isn't a secure line you know." One can never be too cautious.

"I have an idea. You'll know what to do with these codes." he said and then he sent the following:

#351*902 21*583 #280*45 245*3190
81*523 52*94103 38*251 #450*82
#602*18 #248*50 15*23094 #907*81243
#327*94061 #520*84 #901*64523

"Okay, got it. So what did you hide it in?" I knew it could be hidden in just about anything.

"In a film canister at the base of a palm, of course." He said with a chuckle. "It's on the north side, covered by a rock so it blends right in." He replied.

"Thanks, I feel better all ready." I said happily.

"It is in a public place. I thought they would be less likely to look there. Don't draw attention to yourself." He added with a little concern in his voice.

"Have a Pina Colada for me." I said, and hung up the phone. The knot in my stomach was slowly disappearing...
