Teddy Roosevelt was a military hero, public servant, and conservationist. His Rough Riders horse regiment found victory in Cuba. As President (1901-09), his foreign policy was "Speak softly and carry a big stick." As a conservationist, he added the Grand Canyon to the parks roll. After the Presidency, he brokered the Russo-Japanese end of war, and won a Nobel Peace Prize. He is commemorated with the Teddy Bear, and he’s the third guy from the left at Mount Rushmore. In Redwood City, they commemorated TR, too.
