Thing Two - Thing Two is a small cache and a log. You can trade items from this cache. It is a small Lock N Lock (4x3x3).
Thing Two is a cache placed in a park and located for easy access if you are arriving in Medicine Hat and traveling westbound on the Trans Canada Highway, even though it may not seem that way.

Thing Two has three waypoints for parking, All of the parking waypoints offer a walk in the Ross Creek Natural Park. Access from the first waypoint is a 1. Waypoint 2 is a slightly longer walk with some elevation changes. Waypoint 3 is a long walk and a good look at Ross Creek Park. All paths are paved.

Medicine Hat can be a very confusing city, even with a GPSr. Thing Two is located in an area that often frustrates visitors, zoom out causes issues, zoom in causes issues, Trackback works, so do paper maps, you'll see when you drive in here to find Thing Two.

The cache is located in an off leash area so you can walk your dog. You may encounter rattlesnakes when walking anywhere around Medicine Hat, they are not common but they are not unusual. Thing Two contains a laminated list with several urban and park waypoints. Please replace Thing Two where it was found, the next geocacher is relying on that happening so they can complete their search successfully. This cache is usually winter accessible. The walk to and from Thing Two provides a view of the Ross Creek Valley as it leads into the South Saskatchewan River Valley.

The location of Thing Two itself is nestled in one of the small canyons carved out by the local springs, you can hear the water gurgling year round and you will probably see a lot of birds, maybe even some of the park inhabitants. Expect to see other people walking dogs and just hiking, you may have to be careful, you could be surprised easily. Please let others know how you feel about this cache by making an entry in the online log here on geocaching.com.
