Geocache Description:


Located behind the Somerset County Cooperative Extension Agency on Norridgewock Ave. Skowhegan. This diverse trail system encompasses 2 1/2 miles of trails but for this cache hide we will be using the Lower Loop trail which is approximately 3/4 mile in length. You can get a trail map at the office,Monday thru Friday but it is not necessary to find the trail or the cache. This trail system is one of many that are included on the website, Healthy Maine Walks. For more info on a trail or walk near you go to www.healthymainewalks.com Bring your camera as there is a good chance of seeing many types of wildlife. On my first visit I was able to photograph a beaver on the pond where he has built himself an nice home. Posted coordinates are for the parking area. The first part of the multi-cache will begin where 2 trails merge. Coordinates are N 44 45.810 W 069 44.342 From there you are on your own,enjoy the trail system and remember to CITO (cache in trash out) and LNT (Leave No Trace). No part of this mulit-cache is there a need to do any bushwacking as all stages are just off trail. Included in the cache are many items for the outdoors enthusiast,a couple of Where's George dollar bills,2 TB's and a special FTF prize. Enjoy!!! Happy Caching
