How Geocaching Works
Paying homage to a muggled cache.
My favorite cache ever was muggled last winter. Had some nice logs reporting how annoyed people were having to open over 100 35mm film canisters to find a log. So, a similar cache is back in play. However, to get to this cache you have to hike a considerable distance, climb a steep hill, and wade through endless waist-high grass in season. And hang on to your cell phone, mine came out of my holster and I lost it on my way back to the car after placing this cache. The large container is a 50-cal ammo can. Find it, then you have to find the official log. Instructions for logging the cache are on a laminated sheet inside the ammo can. I don't want this one muggled too so that is why it's in a place where there is almost no chance of that happening. Still, hide the container well again, as good or better than you found it. This one will annoy you to no end, don't attempt if you are in a hurry or on a numbers run. It is located at Bacon Creek Park. Go all the way through the park and park in the last lot. Then get on the trail and go a short distance east. When you see a body of water, get off the trail to the west of the water and head north. This is NOT kid-friendly and WAYPOINT THE CAR!
