Huddart Park Sequoia Area is a popular spot for girl scout day camps. At a nearby trail, Girl Scout Troop 32117 created this cache to encourage other scouts to learn about geocaching.
The Girl Scout Troop 32117 based in Belmont and Redwood Shores CA created this geocache as part of earning the Hi-Tech Hide and Seek Interest Project (IP) badge. In order to earn this badge, the had to do the following:
- Learn what is geocaching and how to use a GPS unit
- Find a geocache
- Learn about travel bugs
- As their optional activity, they created a cache near their day camp site
- They needed to share this with other girl scouts encouraging other scouts to learn about geocaching
- Identify which careers need to use GPS units
- Reflect their thoughts on earning this IP
The troop will be reviewing your logs so please leave meaningful logs (and appropriate photos) so they can continue learning about geocaching.
