Geocache Description:

A Flash Mob! Lets rock a 15 minute event!

The event will be held at Roger William’s Park in Providence, RI. I have not received exact coordinates, but the posted ones are close. We will be meeting in the large field in front of the Temple of Music. This event was inspired by iTrax and Foxtail

This event will also be, as seen from the title, a Flash Mob. A Flash Mob is when a group of people suddenly group together and do something abnormal. There are several different Flash Mob's, such as pillow fights, or dances. In this case the abnormal occurrence will be a geocaching event. To read more about Flash Mob's visit this link. Flash Mob.

Since this is a Flash Mob event there a few things to keep in mind. The event does not start until (TBD) makes the signal, and until the event does start you must act non-chalant. Use your geocaching experience of acting like an innocent muggle. PLEASE don't form a crowd at the location while waiting for the signal. It is important for the muggles to have no idea that something is going on. The signal that event has began will be TBD, walking to the designated location with a large camo colored bucket of swag.

The event will last EXACTLY 15 minutes, NOT one second longer.

The event will begin precisely at 12:00pm on Sunday, May 20th. We will go by the GPS clock. The event will be held at N 41° 46.850 W 071° 24.900. This is in an open public space, at a Temple of Music in Roger William’s Park, Providence, RI. The event will be highly organized and facilitated by volunteers. A minute by minute itinerary will be
posted ASAP. We will also have printed copies of this ultra-precise itinerary distributed at the event. At exactly 12:00pm (as determined by the GPS clock) a Geocacher (TBD), your host, will place a bucket full of swag at the coordinates. We will place a small CD player on the ground near the bucket to play some pleasant, upbeat music. One volunteer will hand out "log sheets". Participants will sign the log sheets (which will later become a
log book), to qualify for attendance and drop them in a designated collection box. Bring a pen. Participants may trade swag via the swag bucket at any time. Another volunteer will hand out raffle tickets. Another volunteer will hand out name tags and markers.

If any muggles are curious about the event we will have a volunteer hand out fliers that explain geocaching.

At a designated time, we will toss out candy, Hershey kisses, to all attendance for the event "meal".

At a designated time, we will take a group photo.

At a designated time, we will call out the raffle winners.

At precisely 12:15 the bucket, and the log sheets will be packed
up and sealed away. The event area will be vacated without a trace.

Events that happen after 12:15:01 do not count as part of THIS event.

Only those participants whose names appear on the log sheets may log the event online, any others will be deleted.

Suggestion: COME EARLY TO FIND PARKING. Parking is located on the streets around the field. There are other lots and parking areas are about a 5-10 minute walk from ground zero. I would recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before noon, so as you have time to find parking and to get into position.

Note: Although participants are welcome to get together for lunch after the event. The event will officially be over at 12:15. At lunch, participants may chat, meet, eat and plan for a day of caching in Providence. There are several caches hidden throughout
the park and many more in the surrounding area.
