This cache is dedicated to all of you who have ever been upset
by something someone wrote on your cache page, gotten riled up by
the things said in the GC forums or otherwise agitated, disturbed,
disquieted, bothered or perturbed by anyone in the geocaching
community.
I was ready to hang up my GPSr and call it quits. There have
been some pretty mean and low-down things written about some
caches/cachers in my area lately and I was getting awfully
discouraged. But I had a bunch of travel bugs I needed to do
something with, one of which I had been planning to bring to this
particular spot for some time. So what's my point???
My ''point'' is this: I had a blast placing this cache. It is a
beautiful place, with a lot of neat things to see on the way there.
When I got done I thought, ''This is what caching is all about.''
Getting out there where I never, ever would have gone otherwise and
appreciating the natural beauty of such a place. I don't care if
you want to consider this a game or a sport -- it's supposed to be
FUN! So lighten up, don't take things so personally and have a good
time. Give other people the benefit of the doubt and don't assume
they are being malicious if they say or do something you don't
like.
I put off placing this cache for a long time because I was
afraid there would be a lot of bushwacking. Much to my delight, I
found that there is some sort of old trail/logging road that took
me right to where I wanted to place the cache. You head east from
the parking area for a tenth of a mile, then it turns to the left
and heads toward the cache. I admit, I did lose the trail for a
little bit (one tenth of a mile exactly), but was able to pick it
right back up again after following a deer trail I found west
of/uphill from the original trail. (This might help: The place
where I lost the trail was at N 39° 00.802 W 086° 30.374 and I
picked it back up again at N 39° 00.880 W 086° 30.417 --

Just put in both coords in the "Waypoints" box and click "GO."
They have both topo maps and satellite images.) Don't know what
this place will be like in the summer; it may be best to do this
cache sometime before late spring, when things start getting
bushy.
Cache is hidden in the usual manner; you probably won't need a
clue. I was getting a lot of different readings, but once you get
in the general area you shouldn't have any trouble locating the
cache. The trail appeared to continue right down to the water, so
if you have a boat you could get pretty close and have just a short
walk up a moderate hill. But you'd miss out on all the cool sights
along the trail!
Remember Kelly's Point: Play nice, chill out and HAVE
FUN!
