Mooie wandeling in de omgeving van Goor, waar nog geen caches liggen.
Beautiful hike in the surroundings of Goor, a location where no caches are hidden yet.
De Daytrippercache is na het lopen van de voorjaarswandeling op 15 mei 2004 gesloten. Tijdens de voorbereidingen voor de najaarswandeling wordt de cache op een andere locatie in Nederland weer geactiveerd!
Daytrippers, heeft dat iets met het gelijknamige liedje van de Beatles te maken? In zekere zin wel. In het jaar dat dit liedje verscheen (1962) ging een groep familieleden elk halfjaar aan de wandel onder dezelfde naam. 42 jaar later bestaat de traditie nog steeds! Familie en aanhang lopen elk halfjaar een tocht op de mooiste plekjes van Nederland. Team Professor X maakt deel uit van de Daytrippers en wilde de ene met de andere hobby combineren. Daarom hebben wij ter gelegenheid van de voorjaarwandeling 2004 de eerste geocache van ons team verstopt op een locatie langs de wandelroute. 15 mei, op de dag van de wandeling, nemen wij deze minicache weer mee. Over een paar maanden herplaatsen wij deze minicache op een locatie langs de route van de najaarswandeling, op een ander plekje in Nederland.
Langs de eerste kilometers van onze wandeling hebben wij een zestal waypoints aangemaakt die uiteindelijk leiden naar de minicache. Om deze cache te kunnen loggen moet je de locaties één voor één bezoeken, en de vragen beantwoorden. De antwoorden invullen en….gewoon de paden aanhouden tot het volgende waypoint. Voor de cache zelf heb je alleen een pen, potlood of stickertje nodig. Het is dus een multi-minicache die je laat genieten van de omgeving (in een nog erg dunbevolkt cachegebied). Daytrippers, does this have anything to with the Beatles song with the same name? In some sense it has. In the same year the Beatles sang Daytrippers for the first time (1962), a group of family members started a hiking initiative under the same name. 42 Years later, this initiative still exists! Family and friends of them hike on the most beautiful spots of Holland every half year. Team Professor X is member of this Daytripper group and we wanted to combine one hobby with another. Therefore, for the occasion of the spring hike 2004, we have hidden the first cache of our team near the route of the Daytripper hike. On May 15th, the day of our hike, we will take this minicache with us. A few months after this, we will hide this minicache along the route of our autumn hike, in another part in the Netherlands.
Along the first kilometers of our hike we have made six waypoints that eventually lead to the minicache. In order to be able to log this cache you must visit these waypoints one by one and answer the questions. Fill in the answers and… just follow the paths to the next waypoint. For the cache itself you only need a pencil or a sticker. This is a multi minicache where you can enjoy the surroundings (in an area with only few caches). The route is appr. 5 kilometers long.
