Geocache Description:

Located at a 1100 feet above sea level, this cache takes you to scenic outlook with an excellent view of the Hudson Highlands as you take a circle of the Hubbard / Perkins conservation area adjacent to Fahnestock park. Some parts of this trail are steep, rocky and slippery. Please be aware that this is both tick and bear country.

You're looking for an ammo can and, as you've probably either come from Half Round or East Mountain, by now you'll be aware that the trail meanders, goes up and down, and tends to be rocky and slippery in places.

This cache is located on the Blue Trail at an excellent point to enjoy the view as you take a break either coming to or from East Mountain. As the cache is located close to the trail please resist the temptation to bushwhack.

The initial contents of the cache included some first aid supplies, tape measure, new DV tape, USB cord, calculator keyring, hand-warmers, some batteries (please take only what you need) and, of course, various Things Of Pooh. The FTF prize is the ubiquitous Winnie The Pooh Paperback.

From here, you have some options. If you have come from East Mountain or have limited time, then return to the parking along the Blue Trail. Otherwise continue along the Blue Trail to Round to the East.

Parking coordinates are listed in The Half Round.

This cache has NYS permit 02-07
