Geocache Description:

Located by a natural spring (locals believe the spring's water heals) Cache under square rock near spring

Cache located on private property. Owner is a 'geocacher'
Property posted. Posting signs reads "geocahers welcome"
Contents are stuff mostly bought at local junk stores. Value of items $1 to $5. In plastic container under a naturally square rock by spring. One corner of rock painted black.

The spring is a iron pipe coming out of the bed rock. Nice hike in the woods. Locals since the time of the indians vist the spring for its alleged healing powers. Religious stuff sometimes left around the spring....

added 1/7/07 thought everyone knew about spring... mentioned in Jesuit writtings about this area (1795 or before) and in diaries of first settlers after the Indian village was burned down. Clearly, it is visited regularly today by people other than geocachers
