Geocache Description:

Travel Bug Resort Cache located in a very scenic area of Mount Victoria, where part of the 'Lord of the Rings' movies were filmed.

Close to central Wellington, and on the way to Wellington Airport, this cache is well-placed to drop off Travel-Bugs on their way to other destinations.Travelling Geocachers can pick them up while staying in Wellington, or on the way to the airport before departing.The cache is located just off the trail used for the 'Get off the Road!' scene in The Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring film. It's a really beautiful area, especially in the late afternoon, and anyone who has seen the film will recognise the location.Park at S41 18.160 E174 47.378, and take the downhill track.
