Geocache Description:

This Is A Two Part Cache Along The Bill Chipman Trail That Connects Pullman and Moscow. The Cache Is Meant To Be Walked, Bike, Or Rollerbladed, But It Can Be Done By Car For Those Short On Time.

These coordinates are not for the cache itself, but for an informative sign along the trail. If you are planning to access the locations by car, turn into one of the side roads. There is no reason anyone should park on the highway. Use care when exiting and entering. For walkers and the like, park at the Pullman trailhead.
The board has the answers to these questions:

1. How many millons of years old are the basalt outcropings in the area?

2. How many thousands of square miles does the Columbia River Basalt layer cover?

Do the math to find the location of the cache (ignore the decimal points):

• Add the answer of question #1 to N 46 44.208 to find the cache latitude.

• Add the answer of question #2 to W 117 03.853 to find the cache longitude.

Now go find the cache!
