Geocache Description:

This six part multi-cache was designed for families, or groups. Location is at Mission Hills Regional Park in Fremont, CA.

Cache is not located at the coordinates for this page.

Welcome to Inca Gold.

Luck can play a major part in exploration. The combination of circumstances without which the explorer would have failed; the chance remark of a local followed up on a whim; serendipity at moments when all seemed lost; these are the themes which recur in the writings of the successful. Of course, those who did not succeed will usually have a different tale to tell. Their luck is that they escaped with their lives.

Isabelle de Corazon Tereso, an explorer, has hidden five Myan artifacts or clues. She was planning to pick them up to solve the location of the Inca Gold, but now she has disappeared. (No one knows what happened to her.)

YOUR MISSION
Using your best observations skills you will examine each artifact or clue you encounter. Bring a notebook and pencil so you can sketch the item or write down notes. You will need to refer to them later. Think about how each object may translate into a number.

Once you have examined the object, place it back in the cache, and sign the log. You will need your notes later on when you stumble upon the code. This series is best done in a group so you can compare notes.

Total time to complete this series may be between 2-3 hours depending on your stamina.

The GPS reading for the final placement was very difficult; (in fact it was about 100 feet off)however, it will get you in the general area. Once you get there you will see a number of objects where it may be hidden. Once you get there you will know where to look. (My advice to you is READ THE HINTS..it's not cheating in this case!)

Extra hint: If you find yourself near a barbed wire fence held up by green poles, do not hop the fence into the creek. You are still about a 100 feet from the cache. Look for a film canister at the base of a tree. This tree is the middle one of three small trees. You will find the exact bearing you need. By the way, if you find Isabella, or meet any natives on the way, or hear of any news about her whereabouts, please let us know!

You can find the caches in any order but if you are shooting for a "first to find," luck will be your friend.

Photos of your journey would be much appreciated!
