This cache is in an ammo box and is well hidden in the rocks at about 11000 feet elevation. It contains a first finders cash envelope. You can drive to within about 400 feet of the cache. A high clearance 4X4 vehicle is required. I have been to this sight in my Durango and with friends in a Jeep wrangler and also in an H2 Hummer.
This cache is not accessible in winter.
To start your hunt from Bridgeport drive south on hwy 395 about three to four miles to Green Creek Road. Turn right and stop. Let your gps point you in the right direction. Then proceed and work your way up the the sight. on your way you will see some breathtaking sights of meadows and Aspin groves. Especially in the fall. The view from the top is well worth the trip. You will look down on five mountain lakes in one direction and see all the way to Bodi in the other direction. Also on your way down. At one point you will be able to see both Mono and Bridgeport Lakes.
