It's a nice idea to disable an event listing as soon as the event is over - that will keep it out of pocket queries.
Then archive it shortly thereafter - a couple of weeks or even just a couple of days. People who attended can still log the event after it's archived - it may be bit harder for them to find is all.

A recent email from our friends at Geocaching.com read, "You're part of an elite group of geocachers. You're a "Maker". Your magical formula for making a geocache weaves a clever container, the right location and a little bit of storytelling into a big adventure.

Create a Maker Madness event and share your knowledge of making great geocache hides. You and everyone who attends your event earns a special "Maker Madness" souvenir. Maker Madness runs March 28 through April 7. A completion certificate and all you need for a successful event are just one click away."

Yet another souvenir to be had! This brand new souvenir will be awarded to all who attend a Maker Madness event - in celebration of those of us who love creating caches! Come expecting to find a fun-filled afternoon of creativity where we make and find some caches!

Join us at 11am in Tradition Square. Bring folding chairs and a table if you have one. We'll have a pot-luck lunch. One small dish from each caching family please! We'll make sure to have liquid refreshment on hand as well as plates, cups and silverware. Expect some fun activities and a grand meeting of the minds to create the penultimate PSL cache!
