Geocache Description:

Should be a relatively quick find, once you locate this small, out-of-the-way cemetery. It's easy to miss.

Welcome to a unique place. It is an old (but not forgotten) spiritualist cemetery. The original stones are gone, replaced by a general marker with the names of the people buried within.

What is a spiritualist? A spiritualist is one who believes, as the basis of his or her religion, in the communication between this and the Spirit World by means of Mediumship, and who endeavors to mould his or her character and conduct in accordance with the highest teaching derived from such communication.

Perhaps it is not the most mainstream of faiths, yet spiritualism still has a long and interesting history in Door County.

So, if you're having some trouble finding the cache, ask out loud for a little help; Perhaps someone who lives within will answer!

This cemetery is maintained by the nearby White Star Church in Brussels, and permission to place the geocache here was obtained by church's pastor, Mary Larson Taylor and treasurer Dale Karg. Contact information for them can be found at the church's website.

As with all my cemetery caches, the container is not related to any individual marker, and a discreet, respectful decorum is to be observed.
