Stanton Micro Stash Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

mtn-man: Yeah, I thought I researched this one out, but it is in fact a tiny NPS park also. If the owner can get permission I can unarchive it. If not, then it needs to be removed immediately.

Geocache Description:

Easy terrain in an urban park.

Welcome to one of Pierre L'Enfant's original planned parks for the city of Washington. Designed in 1791 as "Park No. 5" this venue is one of the larger Capitol Hill Parks.

Stanton Park is named after President Abraham Lincoln's Secretary of War: Edwin Stanton.

When you arrive in the general area of the park, see if you can find out why Mr. Stanton, if he were alive today, would be Greene with envy.

Stanton Park is a wonderful example of the natural and urban aesthetic in the design of the Nation's Capitol.

This is a LOG ONLY cache, so bring a pen.
