Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Geocache Description:

Petty-Fairy Valley Park

This cache is only accessible during park hours: 7:00am - 11:00pm

This is a very nice park nestled alongside Hwy. 411 at the foothills of some of the most beautiful North Georgia Mountains in Murray County. The mountain peak that you see across the street from this park is known on maps as Cohutta Mountain.

This park is a fairly new park that has been in exsistence for only a few years. I'm not sure of the actual opening date, but I know that I have driven past this area many times and only on my most recent trips have I seen this jewel appear.

The things that are offered at Petty Park include 2 baseball fields, 2 soccer fields, and a paved walking trail that stretches around the border of it all. A great place to come for the recreation-minded.

This park also has a special section that serves as the rememberance to those whom this park is dedicated to. The name Petty Park is a dedication to the Petty Family.

Here is the cache information:

This multi cache contains two stages. The information that you will gather at the first stage will give you the location of the container. The provided coordinates on this listing will take you to the Rememberance section of the Petty Family. You will not find a container at the provided coordinates....so don't even look!

Here is how to obtain the coordinates for the cache:
The coordinates to the cache can be provided in the following formula:

N 34 AB.CDE
W084 CA.FFC

A - The number of lines in the poem "A Lesson From Marc" DIVIDED BY 6 (This does not include the line used for the title of the poem or the person who wrote it)

B - The number of LETTERS in the second word of the sentence located on the bottom of the only bench in this area. (Their are 7 words)

C - The number of ways in which Maudie Adams Petty is remembered. (I know that their are MANY ways she is remembered, but how many ways are described here)

D - The number of names the author of "A Lesson from Marc" has. MULTIPLY that number by 2! (This includes single letter names used as initials)

E - The number of letters in the FIRST name to which the bench is dedicated. (The name is on the backrest)

F - The number of sides the tall monument has DIVIDED by 2 (<----- That's the answer )

The cache that you will be seeking is a clear Lock n' Lock hidden fairly well. The coordinates should be pretty close to on the money. DO NOT drive on the walking trail...please park in the nearby parking lot and walk to the cache.

Have Fun!!!
