Something/Anything? Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

briansnat: Found it today sitting in the open far from its original hiding place. The once nicely stocked cache was filled with trash. I removed the cache and decided to archive this for now. It's a nice spot, so perhaps I will come by with another cache in the future.

Geocache Description:

The cache is on the shore of Lake Todd. Not a bad spot for a picnic lunch or to hang out on a warm afternoon with a good book.

Lake Todd was part of Camp Todd, a former Boy Scout camp that was purchased by Bergen County. Similar to nearby Camp Tamarack, lots of debris and some abandoned structures remain from the old camp, but there are still some very pretty areas. This side of Lake Todd is one.

The county will be demolishing the structures and carting away the debris over the next few years. A new parking lot and trail system is reportedly in the works.

Easiest access is from Skyline Dr, via the white blazed Todd Trail (see trailhead coordinates below). The cache can also be accessed from the Glen Grey area via the Yellow Trail.

The cache is very near the trail so please, please cover it up well.
