WHEN: High Noon on the 6th of
May.
WHERE: At the coordinates above,
which is down Route 8 about 15 minutes west of Olympia.
WHY: Because sometimes things
need shooting.
BRING: Things that need
shooting, foods that need eating, and beverages that need
drinking.
NOTES:
You do NOT need to own or bring a gun to attend. See the
example Will Attend post below.
If the gate is closed, parking will be tight.
Children are welcome! Please remind them of the safety rules
for the handling of firearms.
We'll be tailgating after the shooting so bring your BBQs and
food.
Booze is welcomed and encouraged, however we won't be indulging
until we're finished shooting.
Bring anything you want to shoot at, like
reactive targets, bowling pins, water-filled jugs, paper targets,
fruit, etc. Whatever you bring though, please remember that
we'll need to clean it up afterward (except the fruit).
Please bring sawhorses or a table, if you have one, to hold the
targets.
SAFETY NOTES:
As always, safety is paramount!
ANYONE who sees an unsafe condition during the shooting portion of
the event will yell, "CEASE FIRE!" at which point all firing will
cease and weapons made secure until the unsafe condition is
corrected.
The Four Rules of Firearms Safety
are:
1. Treat all guns as if they are
loaded.
2. Never point the business end (where the bullets come out) at
anything you don't intend to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard
until you are ready to fire.
4. Be absolutely sure of your target and what is beyond
it.
If you'd like to attend and are willing to
let other attendees shoot your firearm, please list the gun and the
exact ammunition they will need to buy for
it.
If you'd like to attend and would like to shoot another attendee's
gun, please buy the exact ammunition they have listed. If
you're unsure, PM or email them with any questions.
It's not a good idea to use someone else's reloaded ammunition in
another person's firearm, please buy commercial
ammunition.
