Geocache Description:

This multi cache will take you through areas in Kenmore, NY. Please be careful, there are many muggles. Be discreet, and return each cache leg exactly as found. IMPORTANT** This cache can only be done during the following times: Mon, Thurs, and Sat 10-6, Tues 1-9 You will know why when you get to the first coordinates. Because of surrounding buildings, my GPSr was sometimes showing 20-25 feet accuracy--just a warning.

The main coordinates take you up to a popular spot in Kenmore. You must follow these clues at the first coordinates to get the coordinates for the second.

You can use any of the above clues in case one or more are 'borrowed.' You do not need to find them all. Please replace the coordinates exactly where you found them. The second leg is a 35mm film canister with another set of coordinates. The third leg is a silver geocache cannister (small). The final leg is an orange plastic match match box (painted black). There is paper to sign your name and date. There is also a small pencil, but also bring your own. I do not know how long the pencil will last. Please check to make sure the coast is clear at each cache leg. The cache will take you to some of Kenmore's village buildings. Stop for a moment to see the places we have picked out, and if you decide to walk this cache take a look at the neighborhoods. Kenmore is truly a family neighborhood with many nice homes, and well-maintained lawns and gardens. Kenmore is considered the first Buffalo suburb. It is 1.4 sq. miles, median resident age is 38.5, median income 42, 252, and median home value 81,300. In 1888 L.P.A. Eberhardt bought land north of Buffalo and built some homes. Churches were then built, and the first store was built in 1897. The first school was built along Delaware Road in 1892.In 1899, enough residents lived in the area to start a petition to legally incorporate the village. 313 people signed the petition, and Kenmore was born. Currently, Kenmore is one of the last full service villages in NYS. It has its own municipal government, police and fire departments, sanitation, schoold board, and collects village taxes.
