Geocache Description:

A relatively easy cache which, in good weather, should take about an hour and reward you with beautiful views of the Isle of Coll.

The Isle of Coll sits next to Tiree as part of the Inner Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland. Not only does Coll boast some of the most beautiful beaches you will find, when you get there you will probably have the whole beach to yourself. Unlike Tiree, Coll is, as yet, undiscovered by the masses!!

The cache is hidden near the highest point on the island, on Ben Hogh, which overlooks Hogh Bay.
Park near to the Project trust (NM 17523 58023)and then walk through the gate. Head towards Ben Hogh, crossing the burn, and pick your way up to the summit. The walk is fairly easy, however, there is a fence to negotiate near the top, and good footwear is a must!!
Ben Hogh has two summits, at the North summit you will see a large boulder propped on top of 3 smaller ones, a remnant of the last ice age. From here walk to the South summit and the cache!!
Hope you enjoy the views!!
Hermitross.
