HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

davealone: With heavy hearts, (no pun intended), we are archiving this cache. Seems that some locals know about it and keep taking the hearts, or muggling the cache.

Geocache Description:

Cache is a small, with room for small tradables, and has several pewter hearts, (please take just one), which we will keep replenished. Please let us know if the stock is running low.

We had to put a cache here as it is located at the entrance to our 2nd home away from home. At 8,700+ ft. elevation, you never need your air conditioner; however a good heater or fireplace is a must on cold wintery nights. What a climate shock coming from the deserts of El Paso. It's not unusual to experience 15 to 20 degree temperature changes as you near the area.
Nothing beats grilling steaks on a summer night with friends and neighbors, and sitting on the deck swapping stories, and of course imbibing your favorite spirits; or just sitting and watching the local squirrels and blue jay's playing amongst the trees, or trying to catch a photograph of the ever and fast moving hummingbirds that populate the area every summer.
If you looked up "a little bit of heaven" in the dictionary, there just might be a picture of this area.
