Geocache Description:

The second installment in my fun with nanos series. This one will be a little more difficult, then again, maybe it wont?

You are looking for a magnetic nano container attached to a natural object. You will know what type of object it is when you arrive at GZ because there are many of them around! How do you tell which one the nano is hidden on you ask? This one was a souvenir from a road trip Lorah and I had way back when we lived in Colorado.

We started out heading south on I-25 from the Denver area towards CO Springs and Pueblo and ended up in Alamosa. Got ourselves a Hotel for the night and settled in. The next morning we awoke to a foot of snow on the ground, not what we wanted. It was early spring and we were tired of the winter and wanted warm sunshine. We packed up the trusty cavalier and headed west over Wolf Creek pass towards Durango. It was a beautiful drive we have done a couple of times. Durango was sunny but moist so we kept truckin' on towards Moab UT. Moab was just the ticket, no snow and warm as anyone could ask for after a long cold winter. We spent the morning riding our bikes on some of the funnest slickrock around then headed back east towards Grand Junction and the western slope portion of CO. We found this object you are searching for just below Grand Staircase National Monument. Obviously it looks a little out of place out here in Maine! After picking up the object we kept going east to Rifle where we bedded down for the night, and awoke to more snow, should've stayed in Moab!, Oh well. It was a fun four day road trip around CO and Eastern UT. We drove on old highway 666, which has since been renamed due to theives taking signs.

There is limited parking at the cache site, and there are usually many fishermuggles out doing their thing on warm sunny days. This is another of my caches along my bike commute from work, this one is close to the finish. Good luck finding our cache! We had much fun creating it!
