Twilight Park Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Romax: A maintenance visit this morning revealed the new container did survive the recent deluge with contents safe and sound, however GZ is not a place we would like to be searching in under these wet conditions and combined with time, and the weather taking a toll on the reflectors, we have decided the time has come to retire this cache, one of our early hides, placed some 4 years ago.
However if there are searchers who may already have some of the numbers or are just waiting for conditions to improve to complete their search and can email us the final co-ordinates they have calculated, (not a description of GZ), we will make an entry in the log book for them and be pleased to see a find log on the web page.

Geocache Description:

This popular park is a perfect venue for an evening stroll in the “Twilight Zone”.
Bring your torch and perhaps some spare batteries, your dog will be welcome and the area is safe for ankle biters, providing you provide the normal care expected of parents or guardians.
Your mission is to find 6 wpts, in their sequence, 1 through to 6.
If searching by night use your torch, locate and record the number of amber reflectors situated close by each wpt.
Use these numbers to replace the last three digits in each of the latitude and longitude co-ordinates below, taking particular care to transpose wpt 1 “number of reflectors” for digit 1, wpt 2 “number of reflectors” for digit 2 and so on through to digit 6.

Wpt 1 = S37° 03.267 E144° 12.851
Number of Reflectors ---------?
Wpt 2 = S37° 03.002 E144° 12.846
Number of Reflectors ---------?
Wpt 3 = S37° 03.066 E144° 12.938
Number of Reflectors ---------?
Wpt 4 = S37° 03.110 E144° 13.011
Number of Reflectors ---------?
Wpt 5 = S37° 02.945 E144° 13.078
Number of Reflectors ---------?
Wpt 6 = S37° 02.975 E144° 12.960
Number of Reflectors ---------?

GZ = S37° 03.123 E144° 12.456 Amend 123 456 with the numbers obtained from wpts 1 to 6 above

When you amend and find these co-ordinates, you should be standing by a construction, and close to a 1 litre clip top container, with a log book and some trinkets suitable for swapping, if required. This container is hidden in a manner that will be typical for Geo searchers. Concentrate your search to the west side of this construction.
Although intended for a search by torchlight, the reflectors have been positioned where they can be seen, during daylight hours, and by looking carefully around these wpts, it should be possible to see and count the objects you seek.
Searching by daylight provides you with the added bonus of seeing some magnificent trees, both native and introduced species.
Most of these spectacular flora have plaques with their botanical and more recognizable names attached, together with additional detail, where they are heritage listed.
Ample seating and shelter is provided in the form of Rotundas and Shady Bowers, and there are barbeques, playground facilities and Toilets.
