Where Eagles Walk Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

West Texas Reviewer: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so the cache is being archived to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 15 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the West Texas Reviewer.

Geocache Description:

For those of you that love nature, this place is one of the best in the San Antonio area. McAllister park is a generous 986 acres, and was originally created in 1968. It was originally called "Northeast Preserve" for good reason as you will see, but was renamed in 1974 to honor former San Antonio Mayor Walter W. McAllister. Ok, nuff of history - on to the cache.

When entering the trail, the name we gave the cache will become apparent. The hiding spot was discovered by my 8 year old grandaughter - so all you adults better start thinking like a child to find it, or bring a qualified child along with you.

Some of the original contents are a wooden toothpick holder, a tweety bird figurine, glitter glue, tiny picture frame, logbook and pen. Wear long pants and long sleeves, remember in this part of Texas everything will bite you, stick you or poke you. Dont get run over by the deer or guinea hens which frequent the area, and happy hunting. The new container has a screw on cap at both ends. For the sake of other cachers, PLEASE DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE CAP WHEN REPLACIING IT.
